Ye Olde

Cock-tail, then, is a stimulating liquor, composed of spirits of any kind, sugar, water, and bitters--it is vulgarly called a bittered sling, and is supposed to be an excellent electioneering potion, in as much as it renders the heart flout and bold, at the same time that it fuddles the head.

Ingredients

  • 25ml Royal Falcon Whisky

  • Bitters

  • Triple Sec Liquor

  • maraschino cherry

  • Fresh Orange to garnish (optional)

  • Ice Cubes

Method

  • STEP 1

Put the sugar, bitters and water in a small tumbler. Mix until the sugar dissolves if using granulated. Fill your glass with ice and stir in the whisky.

  • STEP 2

  • Add a splash of soda water if you like and mix. Garnish with the orange and cherry.

"I never should have switched from Scotch to Martinis."
